Where: Barrington Student Union Multipurpose Room - 2nd floor - directional signs will be available
Parking: You may park in front of the union to bring your materials upstairs and then move your car to the Performing Arts Center parking lot as seen on this map (PDF).
Arrival: Please check in at the employer registration upstairs outside the Union MPR. We will help you find your table. Let us know if you need any assistance throughout the day at this table.
Event Format: Traditional tabling style event - Students are encouraged to practice their networking skills and some may bring resumes. We encourage all students to attend so some are getting their feet wet with their networking skills, and some are looking for their first full-time job after graduation.
Event Purpose: Employers will have the opportunity to talk with students, faculty and one another. We are encouraging students from all years to attend to improve their networking skills and learn about opportunities at your organization. Feel free to bring information and any swag. You will have a name tag and a resources folder provided upon your arrival.
Resources provided in the folder will include:
- a contact list of the Lougheed Center for Applied Learning Staff including Career Services and Internship staff
- a campus map, a feedback form
- a floor map
- a networking guide that the students may use when talking with you
- 4 table tents.
- These will help guide students when talking with you. These table tents say:
- "Now Hiring"
- "Summer Jobs/Internships"
- "Talk to me about..."
- "SUNY Potsdam Alum."
- You can choose to use these table tents or not.
Lunch: There will be a 1-hour lunch period. We will provide a buffet lunch with a few students and some faculty members. There will also be a special awards ceremony held while we enjoy lunch. See the information below.
Outstanding Internship Awards: Join us in the Barrington Student Union's Fireside Lounge, our lunch venue, (at 12:15 pm) for the presentation of the Outstanding Internship Awards! One SUNY Potsdam student and one internship site will receive this distinction for their impressive work and commitment to the internship experience during 2025. These awards will be presented during our employer luncheon (also in the Fireside Lounge).
We look forward to seeing you at the fair!
