COVID-19 Virtual Town Hall Meeting

Dear students and families:

On behalf of the entire SUNY Potsdam campus community, I want to wish you all well, as we prepare for a very different academic year ahead. As you know, we are working diligently to welcome back students and employees—both virtually and in person—for the Fall 2020 semester.

You are invited to find out more about our plans for the Fall 2020 semester during our upcoming virtual town hall meetings for students and parents. We will offer two sessions:

  • Tuesday, August 11: 6:00 to 7:30 p.m.
  • Thursday, August 13: Noon to 1:30 p.m.

Please use this link to register for one of the sessions being offered.

You will be able to hear directly from representatives from all areas of campus, who are prepared to share our plans and answer your questions, including:

  • Academic Affairs
  • Community Relations
  • Environmental Health and Safety
  • Facilities Planning
  • Residence Life
  •  Student Health Services
  • Student Life

These sessions will be recorded, and we will share a link with anyone who is unable to attend. Following the town halls, we will continue to update the frequently asked questions on our Potsdam, Prepared website and follow up on any questions you may have about preparations for the fall semester.

In the meantime, I urge you to review the information on our Potsdam, Prepared student guide, familiarize yourself with our BEAR (Be Ethical And Responsible) COVID-19 Pledge, and read through our FAQs on academics and campus life, to assist you in your preparations for the fall.

I look forward to sharing more on our planning and on our efforts to protect our campus and our community in these extraordinary times.

Sincerely,

Kristin G. Esterberg, Ph.D.
President
