Return to the Workplace Training
SUNY Potsdam is required to adhere to the New York State Reopening Office-Based Guidelines for Employers and Employees. These mandatory guidelines have been established to reduce the spread of COVID-19 and create the safest working environment possible.
As a result, all employees must complete a training on the return to the workplace by September 1, 2020. You will soon receive an email notification with information to complete this mandatory training through Bizlibrary. For additional information on how to access the site please click here. Should you have any questions about the training materials, please contact me, Tracy Harcourt, Director of Student Health Services, or Patrick O’Brien, Interim Director of Environmental Health & Safety. If you have any questions about completing the training within Bizlibrary, please contact Jennifer Murray, Assistant Director of Human Resources.
Return to the Workplace Guide
I am also pleased to announce the following return to the workplace guide. Within the guide you will find the campus policy on faculty and staff health and safety during the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as very helpful information on how to return to the workplace safely. In order to assist in the safe return of all employees, department heads should review the appendices and follow appropriate the procedures outlined within the guide. Department heads may also access signage here or within the guide.
New York State has issued a COVID-19 Domestic Travel Advisory. If you have travelled to one of the states listed in the advisory for a period of 24 hours or more, you will need to contact Human Resources and your supervisor before coming to the worksite. The travel advisory website should be checked daily for the most up to date information on which states are restricted. You may visit the frequently asked questions website for additional information.
I look forward to seeing many of you as we safely return to campus.
