NSCA Education Recognition Program

SUNY Potsdam is proud to be approved and recognized by The National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) Education Recognition Program (ERP)!

The National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) Education Recognition Program (ERP) recognizes and distinguishes schools with standardized, approved strength and conditioning or personal training curricula in undergraduate and graduate settings designed to prepare students for the NSCA-Certified Personal Trainer® (NSCA-CPT®) and NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist® (CSCS®) certifications.

Led by Tanya Hewitt,  the chair of SUNY Potsdam's Department of Public Health and Human Performance, the exercise science program offers a strong educational foundation to prepare students for the NSCA examsimportant certifications for students launching careers as physical therapists, personal trainers, strength and conditioning coaches, or physical education teachers.

Where does a successful career in strength and conditioning and personal training begin? Within SUNY Potsdam's exercise science program.

With hands-on training at its core, the program sets a high bar for educational excellence while adhering to the requirements of the NSCA Education Recognition Program.  In addition to preparing students for the right certifications, an added benefit of the NSCA Education Recognition Program includes professional development and networking.
