Potsdam Prepared: Spring 2022 Updates

Commencement Schedule

Friday, May 20

SUNY Potsdam will welcome former New York Yankee and award-winning recording artist Bernie Williams as the keynote speaker for its 2022 Commencement ceremony, on Saturday, May 21.

His visit will kick off with a special concert with the Bernie Williams Collective, presented by the Community Performance Series. The performance will be held on Friday, May 20 at 7:30 p.m., in the Helen M. Hosmer Concert Hall at The Crane School of Music. Tickets are on sale now at www.cpspotsdam.org.

Saturday, May 21

7 a.m. - 10 a.m.
Commencement Breakfast Buffet, Lehman Dining Hall
Scrambled eggs, hashbrowns, sausage links, bacon, French toast sticks and make your own waffles.
The cost will be $7.50 per person.

Commencement Ceremony begins

Note: A decision to move the ceremony inside will be made no later than 6 a.m. on Saturday only if extreme weather conditions are forecast (lightning, freezing temperatures, etc). If the emergency plan is implemented, an email will be sent to all graduates, and an announcement will be made on local radio stations and on this website.

Reception

The reception with refreshments following Commencement will be held on the other side of the Lougheed Learning Commons, beyond Minerva Plaza. Graduates, families and friends are invited to meet with faculty and staff and to celebrate the Class of 2022.
