Course Evaluation & Visits

Departments are compensated for the time that liaisons devote to their duties. For any new courses, the department receives a $500 "new site" stipend per CHS course/instructor. The department receives a $250 "maintenance" stipend for any previously approved and continuing course which is being renewed (approximately every three years).

The Department of Environment and Sustainability places a high value on experiential education and applied learning. We strongly encourage students to engage in internships, service learning, field research, or study abroad as an integral part of their undergraduate education.

The Department of Politics aims to teach, energize, support, and inspire students. The facts, theories, and skills we ask students to learn are designed to help them succeed personally, professionally, and as community members and citizens of the world.

Department of Public Health and Human Performance

The Department of Public Health and Human Performance offers 2 majors (Public Health and Exercise Science) and six minors (Wilderness Education, Community Health, Sexual Health, Fitness, Nutrition, and Therapeutic Recreation).The Exercise Science major focuses on the scientific and applied study of the human body, including prevention of injury and performance. Using an interdisciplinary approach, students will learn the research behind and the application of sound exercise and physiology principles.
