Email Signatures
Electronic signatures are a great way for the College to relay a consistent image. While there are no official guidelines for signatures, it is suggested that you do not use an attached image as a signature, since email systems and users may inadvertently read those messages as spam. In addition, it is recommended that you use our abbreviated name, SUNY Potsdam, as well as provide a link back to www.potsdam.edu. Other pertinent information to include on your email signature includes your full name, College address, phone number with area code and email address.

Eligibility Students must be enrolled in an eligible degree program or major (see specifications below under "Eligible Majors").
Elizabeth Hudson ’15
Elizabeth Hudson ’15 knew that she wanted to be a teacher from a young age. Her mother worked in education and now, after completing both her master’s and bachelor’s degrees at SUNY Potsdam, she is carrying on that family tradition.

E-Mail Antivirus CTS currently provides pre-delivery scanning of e-mail for known computer viruses.
Mass Email Policy
Email is a quick and convenient form of communication; however, broadcast email messages – those sent to all students, all faculty and staff or both - should be used sparingly and as part of a general communication plan, not as the sole form of communication. It is the desire of the SUNY Potsdam Administration to limit the use of broadcast email messages so as not to diminish the effectiveness of this communication tool.

What is an Emergency Withdrawal?
An Emergency Withdrawal (W*) can be requested if you are forced to leave the College during a semester due to reasons beyond your control.To apply for an Emergency Withdrawal:Complete an Emergency Withdrawal Application Form (see below)Specify your emergency circumstancesSupply written documentation from a qualified professional such as a doctor or psychological counselor to support your request
