SUNY Potsdam Hosts Digital Anthropology Film Festival on Nov. 9

SUNY Potsdam’s Department of Anthropology will present its second annual Digital Anthropology Film Festival on Saturday, Nov. 9, from 5:30 to 8 p.m., in the Proscenium Theater, located in the College’s Performing Arts Center. Numerous student films and vlogs will be premiered at the festival. Students in cultural anthropology and archaeology courses will have their works featured.

Assistant Professor of Piano Vacancy

The Crane School of Music invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Piano. Responsibilities include teaching applied studio for music majors in all Crane undergraduate and graduate programs, teaching piano-related courses (piano literature, chamber ensemble coaching, art of accompanying); engaging in activity as a soloist and collaborative performer; leadership in recruitment and retention of outstanding piano students; and other duties assigned according to experience, expertise and/or departmental needs.

Assistant Professor of Flute Vacancy

The Crane School of Music is pleased to invite applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Flute to begin August 2020. The appointee will recruit and retain a studio of excellent flute students, teach applied flute in all Crane degree programs, teach flute techniques to music education majors, hold weekly flute studio class, conduct the Crane Flute Ensemble, and perform other duties as needed appropriate to the appointee’s credentials and experience, including flute repertoire, pedagogy, and student chamber ensemble coaching.
