September 4, 2020 Dear Students and Colleagues: While we work diligently to prevent the spread of COVID-19 both on campus and in our community, one of the most powerful tools we have is data, so we can adjust our approach and learn from experiences here and elsewhere in real time. To that end, SUNY Potsdam will be conducting ongoing surveillance testing of our on-campus and local students this semester. We are also keeping a close eye on what is happening locally and across the state, in particular at our fellow SUNY campuses.

The Physical Plant and Environmental Health & Safety is accepting on-line applications for a Facility Operations Assistant 1 to perform a variety of routine unskilled and semiskilled manual tasks related to the operation and maintenance of State-owned buildings and facilities, the surrounding grounds, and the vehicles and equipment used in maintaining these sites.

Stephanie Coyne DeGhett, Department of English and Communication, has had a short story called “Trespass” accepted for publication by Streetlight magazine.  It is due for publication this fall.

The SUNY Potsdam College Council will hold its first meeting of the 2022-23 academic year on Friday, Sept. 9 at 10 a.m., in the Raymond Hall eighth floor dining room. 

In alliance with Indigenous peoples and communities, SUNY Potsdam will officially recognize the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on Friday, Sept. 30.
