Managing Vendors

SUNY Potsdam is responsible for the initial vendor registration. Once registered, it is the vendor's responsibility to ensure the information in the New York State Vendor Management Unit (VMU) file (addresses and contacts) is accurate and changes are updated in a timely manner.The State of New York submits Vendor Name and TIN information to the IRS to validate that the Vendor information matches the IRS information.

Andy Pacer '15

SUNY Potsdam alumnus Andy Pacer ’15 seemed right at home during a recent visit to The Crane School of Music. Sipping coffee in Helen M. Hosmer Hall, he would confidently rise to greet his sound crew or student workers helping with the Varsity Vocals International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella (ICCA). As a student at Crane, Pacer competed in the ICCA event every year with the Potsdam Pointercounts, but now he was seeing things from the other side as the producer for the ICCA central region.

Sean Koloski ’17

SUNY Potsdam alumnus Sean Koloski ’17 hopes to be a politician someday and based on his success at SUNY Potsdam, his aspirations seem to be well within reach. During his senior year, he maintained a very busy schedule balancing his role as president of the Student Government Association (SGA) with all of his undergraduate coursework. He graduated with a double major in politics and international studies with a minor in psychology.

2026 Merit Scholarship/Grant Rules

SUNY Potsdam awards over $3,000,000 in scholarships annually to incoming and returning students. The majority of these awards are provided through the generosity of the alumni and friends of the College who wish to help students achieve their potential. Brian DeWitt ’79

SUNY Potsdam Alumnus Brian DeWitt ’79 just made his first trip back to Potsdam since graduating 38 years ago. Since graduating with a bachelor’s degree in biology, he has traveled all over the world as part of a highly technical and successful career working in Silicon Valley.
