The Bear CARE Program
What is the Bear CARE Program? The Bear CARE Program is SUNY Potsdam's Case Management program. CARE stands for Consultation, Advocacy, Referral, and Education. The Bear CARE Program offers confidential comprehensive support to students who need assistance with difficult or unexpected life events during their time in college.
Behavioral Evaluation Committee (BEC)
What is the Behavioral Evaluation Committee? The Behavioral Evaluation Committee (BEC) is a group of faculty and staff who meet to discuss and respond to students in apparent/potential distress and determine possibility of harm to self and/or others in campus community.
Important Questions to Ask Lenders
What borrower benefits are offered? How do you qualify for these benefits? Can the benefits offered change? How? When? Does the lender sell their private loans to other lenders?
Residence Halls
What can I expect in my room? In every bedroom, there will be one bed (Twin Extra Long), one desk, one desk chair, one dresser, and one closet per resident. Roommates will share the ceiling light (or floor lamp), the window, and the trash basket. For those that live in a standard double room or triple, you will have shared bathroom facilities on your floor. If you live in a Lehman Suite with a bathroom, a Lehman Apartment or a Townhouse, you will have a private bathroom(s) for the occupants of that space.
Department of Computer Science
What is Computer Science? Computer science deals with: the nature of and limits to computation; the architecture of computer systems, networks, devices, and languages, and their abstractions; the design of hardware and software systems as they apply to human endeavors such as scientific inquiry, information acquisition, visualization, language, and leisure; and the engineering of complex software systems.
