What is ROTC?

SUNY Potsdam is a proud and actively contributing college to the Reserve Officer’s Training Corps (ROTC) Program hosted at Clarkson University. ROTC is a leadership development program chartered by the branches of the military that can lead to a student receiving an officer’s commission.

To enroll in ROTC, a student simply needs to cross register for the Clarkson ROTC courses offered by their choice of Army, Air Force or Space Force.  Students interested in ROTC can reach out to Mr. Scott Schulz, the SUNY Potsdam Veteran and Military Services Support Coordinator. Or, students are certainly welcome to call or email the respective ROTC departments at Clarkson University.  The ROTC Cadre are more than happy to assist students with cross-registration procedures and time management to help them fit ROTC into their academic schedule.  Please visit the below links to our offered ROTC opportunites and reach out to the ROTC Program you would like.
