Group tutoring is free of charge and is available for various lower-level and certain upper-division undergraduate courses.
Group tutoring consists of small study groups (typically 3-8 students) facilitated by a trained and experienced peer tutor. Sessions are scheduled at the mutual convenience of both the students and the tutor for as many as 3 hours per week.
Clicking the link below will direct you to our Starfish student support system. Sign in with your Campus Computer Account information (same as you use for Outlook, BearPAWS,etc), then click the “Raise Hand” button. Under the Type of Help Needed section, select “I Need a Group Tutor”.
Once your request is received, we will work to find you the most appropriate resources. Sometimes this means waiting for us to find a suitable tutor or for additional requests for tutoring in a particular course. In any case, we typically notify students within 3-5 days regarding the status of their request.
Group tutoring can be a great resource to help you succeed in your courses. In order for all students to get the most out of the experience, students are expected to attend sessions fully prepared and ready to participate. Please review Student Expectations (PDF) for specific guidelines. Continued enrollment in the program is contingent on students adhering to all of these expectations.
