Grant Writing Course Release Program
This policy encourages academic year grantsmanship by creating a program offering a course release for the purposes of writing an external grant. The college may award 3-5 course releases per semester (fall & spring). Invitations to submit a proposal for a Grant-writing Course Release (GCR) and their review will occur in Spring/ Summer. Submit proposal by September 1 for spring releases or March 1 for fall releases.

Research and Creative Endeavors Program
The Research and Creative Endeavors Program is designed to provide faculty with seed money to pursue a research or scholarly project and eventually acquire external funding for their work. The maximum award per project is $2,000. Generally, this program does not provide funding for conference travel, computer equipment and general office expenses. Applications must be submitted via email to Dr. Jack McGuire at mcguirjp@potsdam.edu.
