SUNY Potsdam has learned that an empowering program designed to level the playing field for students has received renewed federal funding as it approaches its 40th birthday. With tools that include peer tutoring, support in developing study and time management skills, financial literacy and other help navigating the college experience, TRIO’s goal is to increase retention and graduation rates and help students maintain good academic standing.

Crane School of Music Offers Free Music Lessons for Local Children
SUNY Potsdam’s Crane School of Music will once again offer free music instruction for local children this year. Crane music education students will provide free instruction for home-school and private school students on woodwind, brass and percussion instruments. Children ages 9 to 15 (or in Grades 4 to 8) can learn to play flute, clarinet, alto saxophone, cornet or trumpet, trombone or percussion.
The Crane School of Music Invites Adult Musicians to Join Campus Community Band
The Campus Community Band at SUNY Potsdam’s Crane School of Music is seeking new members to join the ensemble for the 2019-20 academic year. Adult musicians who play woodwinds, brass and percussion instruments are all welcome to join. No audition is required, and any musical skill, talent or interest is welcome.
