SUNY Potsdam Professor, Students & Alumna Featured in Documentary on Efforts to Save Threatened Blanding’s Turtle

SUNY Potsdam will host a free campus screening tomorrow of a new documentary that shines a spotlight on the urgent fight to protect one of New York State’s most threatened species. “The Quiet Battle to Save the Blanding’s Turtles of New York,” directed by filmmaker Ari Taub, will be shown on Wednesday, Feb. 11, at noon in Stowell Hall Room 211, as part of the College’s Biology Department Seminar Series. A Q&A session will follow the screening. 

SUNY Potsdam College Council to Meet on Feb. 20

The SUNY Potsdam College Council will hold its second meeting of the 2025-26 academic year on Friday, Feb. 20 at 10 a.m., in the Raymond Hall eighth floor dining room. The meeting will be open to the public, and will stream live online via Teams. A link will be available on the College Council website prior to the meeting.

SUNY Potsdam Holds 22nd Bear Pride Night on Feb. 20

All are invited to help SUNY Potsdam pack the Maxcy Hall Athletic Complex on Friday, Feb. 20, as the College prepares for its 22nd annual Bear Pride Night. Once again, through the combined efforts of the Offices of Alumni Relations, Student Life and the Bears' Athletic Department, SUNY Potsdam will invite area alumni, fans and students to cheer on the Bears and take part in fun activities and promotions throughout the evening. 

SUNY Potsdam Hosts LoKo Musical Theatre Showcase, ‘A New World’

SUNY Potsdam students will present “A New World,” a musical theatre showcase sponsored by the LoKo Arts program, with three performances scheduled this weekend. Fully produced and performed by students from SUNY Potsdam and The Crane School of Music, the annual showcase highlights emerging talent in musical theatre, performance and creative production. 

Community Performance Series Presents ‘Doktor Kaboom: Under Pressure!’ at SUNY Potsdam

The Community Performance Series will present the high-energy STEM performance “Doktor Kaboom: Under Pressure!” on Tuesday, March 3 at 7 p.m. in the Proscenium Theater at the SUNY Potsdam Performing Arts Center. Commissioned by the Kennedy Center, this interactive show blends live science experiments with physical comedy and interactive storytelling to engage and entertain audiences of all ages.
