SUNY Potsdam Graduates Recognized as Class of 2025 Academic Honorees
Two outstanding SUNY Potsdam graduates have been recognized as the academic honorees for the Class of 2025, earning the 2025 Faculty Awards. The award recipients, Meghan Spaulding ’25 and Alexandra Sveshnikova ’25, were chosen by the Faculty Senate and will be specially recognized during Commencement.

Becky’s Place will be closing until further notice at noon on Saturday, May 23. PACES will operate a weekday outdoor grill on the Dexter’s patio, starting Tuesday, May 26, serving hot dogs, hamburgers, sausages, grab and go salads and sandwiches, desserts and beverages. Service hours are (rain or shine) Monday – Friday, 11 a.m. - 1 p.m., until further notice.

The creative strength of SUNY Potsdam’s arts students remains undiminished by a pandemic which has injected new innovation into the way we engage with and create art, literature and drama. Normally, graduates from the College’s selective Bachelor of Fine Arts programs are all celebrated with culminating exhibitions and readings to cap off their senior years.

SUNY Potsdam Celebrates Class of 2022 at Commencement
The State University of New York at Potsdam honored the Class of 2022 with a Commencement to remember—a picture-perfect, sunshine-filled ceremony with nearly 5,000 guests, in the College’s Academic Quad. “Today, we celebrate you—all that you have accomplished here, and all that we know you will accomplish from this day forward,” said Officer-in-Charge Dr. Philip T. Neisser ’79. “We are all so thrilled to be together again with all of our guests in the shade of the clocktower, enjoying this momentous day as one SUNY Potsdam family.”

SUNY Potsdam recently honored 18 longtime employees who retired during the 2024-25 academic year. Together, the faculty and staff members had collectively dedicated an incredible 450 years of service to the institution throughout their careers.
