Visiting Assistant Professor in Anthropology Vacancy
The Department of Anthropology invites applications for a 2-year, full-time Visiting Assistant Professor position in anthropology, beginning fall 2020. The faculty member in this position will teach introductory and upper-division courses in the areas of biological (forensic/biomedical) and applied anthropology, such as: Forensic Anthropology; Medical Anthropology; Humans, Disease, and Death; Applying Anthropology; Applied Anthropology Research Methods; and/or other courses in their area of expertise.

Crane School of Music Professor Douglas Rubio to Present Guitar Recital on Nov. 17
SUNY Potsdam’s Crane School of Music invites the public to enjoy a faculty recital by Dr. Douglas Rubio, guitar, on Sunday, Nov. 17 at 7:30 p.m., in the Sara M. Snell Music Theater. The recital will open with an aria by Girolamo Frescobaldi, followed by Rubio’s original arrangement of Johann Sebastian Bach’s “Cello Suite No. 1” for classical guitar. Rubio will also present Benjamin Britten’s “Songs from the Chinese, Op. 58,” concluding his performance with pieces by Joaquin Rodrigo and Isaac Albeniz.
