Donations Needed for Themed Gift Basket Auction for Students

Potsdam Appreciation Week (PAW) will be hosted by Emerging Leaders from October 25 - 29.  The goal of PAW is to spread a love for SUNY Potsdam across campus and fundraise for the annual Student Gift. This year, the Student Gift will support the Campus Food Pantry.

SUNY Potsdam’s Crane School of Music will hold a memorial concert featuring musical works by the late American composer and Professor Emeritus Dr. Arthur Frackenpohl (1924-2019), on Friday, Oct. 4 at 7:30 p.m., in the Sara M. Snell Music Theater.

Jefferson Community College & SUNY Potsdam Sign Memorandum of Conditional Guaranteed Admission

Representatives from Jefferson Community College (JCC) and the State University of New York (SUNY) at Potsdam formally signed a memorandum of understanding today that conditionally guarantees admission to SUNY Potsdam for JCC students who complete an associate degree. The agreement, signed by Jefferson President Dr. Ty A. Stone and Potsdam President Dr. Kristin G. Esterberg, facilitates seamless transfer to baccalaureate programs at SUNY Potsdam.

SUNY Potsdam Accepting Site Applications for Presidential Internship Program

SUNY Potsdam will continue the Presidential Internship Program (PIP) in Summer 2026, following a successful pilot in Summer 2025. Administered by the Lougheed Center for Applied Learning, this internship program connects student interns with North Country sites through a competitive process of applications, interviews and final matching between sites and students.  

SUNY Potsdam Faculty Honored for Research Contributions by St. Lawrence County Board of Legislature

SUNY Potsdam faculty members Dr. Robert Snyder, Dr. Katherine Cleary, and Dr. Glenn Johnson were formally recognized by the St. Lawrence County Board of Legislators on Sept. 16, in honor of their leadership and contributions to a new mosquito surveillance program aimed at protecting public health across the region.
