This fall, President Suzanne Smith started a new tradition at SUNY Potsdam that's all about spreading our gratitude and sharing good vibes. Every new student will be presented with a shiny new silver challenge coin during convocation. This coin isn't meant to stay in your pocket, though – it's a chance to say thanks in a unique way.

As you approach Commencement, that's your chance to pass on your Potsdam pride! Present your coin to someone who has made a difference in your life or impacted your college journey. It could be an inspiring professor, a staff mentor, a community member, an internship supervisor, a family member or your best friend who saw you through it all. At SUNY Potsdam, we value connections and the relationships our students form, both on and off campus.
