Travel courses are short-term experiences led by faculty members. SUNY Potsdam students can go on travel courses hosted by SUNY Potsdam, and sometimes those hosted by other institutions.

Paying for Travel Courses
Students will pay a deposit by a date identified by the staff at the Lougheed Center for Applied Learning. This deposit confirms the student's spot in the course and allows the student to register for the course. The student will pay the balance (remaining costs) via their student bill.
Reimbursement Policy
The cost for the course is built based on estimates. If at the conclusion of the course, the course has cost less than the budgeted estimate, students may receive a reimbursement for the partial cost of the course. The LoCAL will only reimburse if the reimbursement per student exceeds $300.
