Answering the Call
COVID-19 has presented challenges that we never could have imagined. Social distancing, wearing masks, and weekly pooled saliva testing have become as familiar to the campus community as late-night visits to the library. This semester, nine SUNY Potsdam students have embraced the challenge, and are giving back to the campus community as part of a new internship to meet the demands of the global pandemic—answering the call as newly appointed contact tracers for the College.

Choral and Vocal Performance
Crane ChorusThis chorus is the large festival chorus of The Crane School. This prestigious group was founded by Dr. Helen Hosmer in 1931 and performs the major vocal repertoire with the symphony orchestra in the Spring Festival Concert each year, and the televised Candlelight Concert each December.

Crane Academic Assessment
Crane gathers data for multiple Program Student Learning Outcomes (PSLOs) each semester and reports on one PSLO per academic year for each of its nine programs. Crane’s Program Review takes place every 10 years via an external accreditor, the National Association of Schools of Music (NASM).
Spring 2017 News
The Crane Latin Ensemble spent the last week of March in Cuba The ensemble performed at the Universidad de Cienfuegos, took classes on Cuban music and dance, sat in with local bands, and took several side trips.
