Dec. 1: Update on Winter Storm
As we are aware, areas across New York State are being impacted by a severe winter storm. Although the North Folk College Express buses have already departed and are en route to Potsdam, we understand that some students are not able to make it back to Potsdam due to travel cancellations caused by the winter storm.
Potsdam College Foundation Names New Leadership
The Potsdam College Foundation Board of Trustees selected new leadership and welcomed a new member at its fall meeting. Trustees elected Amy Kellogg ’99 of Albany, N.Y., as president, and Ron Fishbeck ’80 of Aroda, Va., as vice president.
Nominations for Chancellor's Award for Student Excellence
The Chancellor’s Award for Student Excellence recognizes model students who have integrated academic excellence with other aspects of their lives, to include leadership, athletics, community service, creative and performing arts, entrepreneurship, or career achievement. These students may have already received recognition from local, state, national or international organizations, and we would like you to include that information in the nomination process.

SUNY Potsdam alumni from across the country are sharing their words of encouragement with current students as they enter finals week to close out the Fall 2020 semester. The campus transitioned to a virtual format for the end of the semester, as most students returned home at Thanksgiving break.
SUNY Board of Trustees Posthumously Appoints Dr. John L. Graham as SUNY Potsdam President
The SUNY Board of Trustees today passed a resolution posthumously appointing Dr. John L. Graham president of SUNY Potsdam, in recognition of his extraordinary service and dedication to the campus prior to his recent passing. With the official designation, Dr. Graham will be remembered as the seventeenth president of SUNY Potsdam, and the first Black leader in the College’s 205-year history. SUNY Potsdam just concluded a week of mourning in his honor, following his unexpected passing on Nov. 27.
