Dear members of the SUNY Potsdam Community, SUNY Potsdam’s Student Health Services has been notified that five of the College’s residential students have confirmed cases of COVID-19.

Dear Residents, We know that this is a difficult time for everyone.  We are all struggling with all of the unknown of this situation, and information that is constantly changing.  We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to best respond and support you.

Dear Residents, We hope this email finds you well and adjusting to distance learning.  These are very challenging times for all of us and there is a lot to get used to.

Dear Residential Students, We have appreciated your patience while you wait to retrieve your remaining belongings. Please understand that while some areas of New York State are reopening, many restrictions are still in place statewide and in St. Lawrence County. While we will soon be able to start allowing students to come to campus to retrieve belongings, we continue to require your cooperation.

Dear Students, I hope that you are holding up as you wrap up your studies this semester, in the midst of so much uncertainty and change. All of us at SUNY Potsdam are thinking of you and wishing you well. We miss your vibrant presence, especially during what would normally be the busiest time of the academic year.

Dear students, We want you to know that we are processing refunds to students for housing fees and meal plan fees if applicable, minus any housing scholarships or partial bed waivers. We sincerely appreciate your patience with this process, as it has taken time to review each student’s individual situation before proceeding.

Dear students and families: On behalf of the entire SUNY Potsdam campus community, I want to wish you all well, as we prepare for a very different academic year ahead. As you know, we are working diligently to welcome back students and employees—both virtually and in person—for the Fall 2020 semester.  You are invited to find out more about our plans for the Fall 2020 semester during our upcoming virtual town hall meetings for students and parents. We will offer two sessions: 

Dear students and families: We want to thank those of you who took the time to join us for our two virtual town hall meetings regarding our plans for the Fall 2020 semester. We were so grateful to speak with you and to answer your questions as we prepare to welcome back our students and employees—both virtually and in person.

Dear Students, This week’s surveillance testing and individual testing through Student Health Services resulted in an additional 19 positives, bringing our total active positive number to 41. A majority of these cases are off-campus students, and the rate of increase is alarming.
