Pi Mu Epsilon was incorporated in 1914 under the laws of New York State, the sequel to an earlier mathematics club at Syracuse University. Each chapter is designated by the state in which it is located and by the Greek letters assigned according to the chronological order of the date on the charters of the chapters within the state. We are the New York Phi Chapter. The chapter was chartered in 1969. It was the 151st chapter of Pi Mu Epsilon nationally and the 20th in New York. The NY Phi chapter was installed on April 8, 1970.

ESL Tutoring with the Literacy Volunteer Program: Students can contact Literacy Volunteers at the Potsdam Public Library to set up an interview and assessment. This program matches non-English speakers with ESL trained tutors for one-on-one tutoring.
