Mirroring the frenetic pace of her own life as a paramedic over the past decade, Laura Schappert ’08 & ’22 monitors honeybees frantically producing honey in the hive. The feisty pollinators evoke a feeling from her former career as a paramedic, rushing from one emergency to the next in the back of an ambulance—a profession she is now eager to leave behind as she pursues a degree in biology at SUNY Potsdam.

Advisory Board
Mission The Lougheed Learning Commons (LLC) Advisory Board will be tasked with evaluating services currently offered in the LLC to determine their effectiveness and identify and address existing or potential issues related to those services. The board will also examine proposed services for the LLC and changes to space use in the LLC, and if approved, work out the logistics for implementation.
