They say a picture is worth one thousand words, and for a group of SUNY Potsdam professors studying small mammal diversity, that rings as true as ever. Imagine a game camera with reading glasses. That’s one of the creative ways that four faculty members have been capturing close-range images of an unsuspecting assortment of small animals through the modified lens of a wildlife camera.

Schedule Template Guidelines
The Schedule Template Guidelines are intended to provide departments and deans with consistent guidance in scheduling course sections in order to minimize conflicts, ensure that students are able to register for a full load (15 credits), and increase availability of courses required in the major.
Alumni Advisory Board
The School of Education Alumni Association and Advisory Board have been established to reach out in more meaningful ways to our alumni, as well as build affinity for the School of Education. The goal is to increase the visibility of the School of Education and act as its advocate.

Climate
Scientists employed in the climate sector are tasked with understanding how past records of climate change can inform the modern and how we can plan for future climate change. Jobs focus on field and laboratory research to document and understand records of past climate change (e.g. ice cores, rocks and fossils), modeling and computer simulations of the Earth’s climate system, greenhouse gas management, as well as guiding, informing and crafting policy recommendations for dealing with modern climate change.

Scott Elliott ’21 has always wanted to be a teacher. Recently retired from the U.S. Army, he’s turning that dream into a reality while pursuing a graduate degree in SUNY Potsdam’s childhood education program offered in Watertown.
