The State University of New York and SUNY Potsdam wants you to get the information and support you need regardless of whether you would like to move forward with a report of sexual violence to campus officials or law enforcement. You may want to talk with someone about something that you observed or experienced, even if you are not sure that the behavior constitutes sexual violence. A conversation where questions can be answered is far superior to keeping something to yourself.

The State University encourages you to exercise your constitutional right to vote and support the political party and candidate of your choice. You should be aware, however, that if your position is one which is funded by federal monies, any political activities you pursue may be subject to the provisions of the Federal Hatch Act.

The State University of New York at Potsdam has established an Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) to oversee the responsible use of animals in university research and instructional activities.

The State University of New York at Potsdam has received the largest gift commitment in the College’s 201-year history. Donald (Hon. ’54) and Kathryn Kofoed Lougheed ’54 have pledged $5.25 million to support applied learning initiatives at SUNY Potsdam. With a combination of deferred and outright gifts, the new commitment represents the largest donation the College has ever received.

The State University of New York at Potsdam Institutional Review Board was established to protect the rights and welfare of human research subjects.
