This program provides students with the chance to become acclimated to campus before the beginning of the fall semester. Ignite students will move into their residence halls a day early, explore specific campus resources and discuss the nuanced differences between high school and college by interacting with staff and current OAS students.

Our OAS Ignite Transition Program has officially wrapped up for the year, and it was a great success! We loved welcoming our incoming first-year students to campus and helping them get a head start on their college journey.
Here is a sneak peek at what our participants experienced, so you know exactly what to look forward to next year.
Event Highlights at a Glance
- Stress-Free Move-In: Students got settled into their dorm rooms with plenty of time to unpack and decorate.
- Community Dinners: Students, families, and guests connected over dinner with the OAS staff and our amazing transition leaders.
- Campus Navigation: Transition leaders led student-only tours to help everyone find their specific classrooms and figure out campus dining
- College 101 Workshop: We broke down the big differences between high school and college, and introduced essential campus supports.
- Tech & Tool Walkthroughs: Students learned how to navigate "Accommodate" so they are ready for how to request accommodations.
- Hidden Gem Tours: Small breakout groups explored campus sensory spaces, quiet study areas, and the exam center.
