Meeting Owls
We have a limited number of Meeting Owl conference cameras available. These cameras are designed to sit in the middle of a conference table and swivel 360 degrees and focus on the person that is speaking. If you are interested in borrowing one of these devices, please email itservicedesk@potsdam.edu and include the date(s) you require it.
Desktop "Webcam"
The Service Desk has webcams that you can add to your desktop. The camera is HD (1080p) with a built-in omnidirectional microphone. They work with macOS or Windows and plug into a USB port. They will configure automatically and be available for use in software such as Microsoft Teams. Please email itservicedesk@potsdam.edu with your request.
Laptop
During the Covid-19 pandemic, faculty & staff with approved work-from-home plans may request a laptop to be loaned to them if their currently issued computer is a Desktop. Please email itservicedesk@potsdam.edu with your request.
Additional Items
To have a single point of contact, all items available through the CCI Loan Program will be accessible through the new CTS IT Service Desk. CCI Loan items are primarily for the use of teaching faculty, but they may also be used by campus staff. Please email itservicedesk@potsdam.edu to make a request. With the high demand for this equipment, the service is specifically intended for short-term loans. Please make your request early to allow the IT Service Desk to better meet all requests.
