Certification
The Center for School Partnerships and Teacher Certification recommends SUNY Potsdam Teacher Education graduates to the New York State Department of Education for teacher certification after they have completed an approved teacher preparation program.
Thomas E. O'Shaughnessy Center for Assistive Technology
The Center takes great pride in housing the Thomas E. O'Shaughnessy Center for Assistive Technology within its facility, with which the SUNY Potsdam community honored the memory of a colleague and friend, Tom O'Shaughnessy, who had been a member of the Special Education faculty at SUNY Potsdam from 1979 until his passing in 2002.
The Origins of Mathematics - Central Mexico

Taught over 2 weeks in central Mexico it has a special focus on Mesoamerican cultures. This makes it ideal for students of anthropology, mathematics, history, and Spanish.
Personal Packages
Central Receiving personnel no longer accept the delivery or receipt of personal packages addressed to an employee at the College unless the employee lives on campus (e.g. Residence Hall Directors). Central Receiving personnel will not be responsible for the liability of handling personal packages.

The Chair of the Faculty Senate will be eligible for up to three credit hours per semester of released time from regular instructional responsibilities in recognition of his or her duties and responsibilities for faculty governance activities.

Course Numbering & Naming
Changing Courses ~ Recommendations and Cautions Recommendations When changing the title or content and the new course is intended to be different from the one it is replacing, a new number should be issued. Reusing numbers is not recommended.

To change your major, please contact your academic adviser to schedule a meeting to discuss your plans. If you are an EOP, Bridges, TRiO, or CSTEP student, you should also speak to your assigned counselor.
