The State University of New York at Potsdam will celebrate the 210th anniversary of its founding with special Charter Day events on Wednesday, March 25. Originally founded as the St. Lawrence Academy, the institution known today as SUNY Potsdam marked its official beginning when its charter was signed in Albany on March 25, 1816—making it one of America’s first 50 colleges. Today, it remains the oldest institution within the State University of New York.

There will be a Scholastic Book Fair held at the Rebecca V. Sheard Literacy Center in 104 Satterlee Hall from Monday, March 18 to Thursday, March 28 from 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. and also on Friday, March 22 from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.

SUNY Potsdam’s Crane School of Music will feature its talented students and world-renowned faculty artists in a series of upcoming live performances to kick off the Spring 2022 semester. 

The book fair is sponsored by the Rebecca V. Sheard Literacy Center and will be held Wednesday, March 15 - Friday, March 24 from 10 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. in 104 Satterlee Hall. The fair will not be open on weekends.

SUNY Potsdam, in partnership with the New York Association of Towns, is pleased to announce the launch of a workforce development initiative designed to improve recruitment and retention in towns, as well as create an accredited and skilled workforce.  

The Physical Plant is accepting on-line applications for a full-time Assistant Facilities Program Coordinator.
