Political Activities
The State University encourages you to exercise your constitutional right to vote and support the political party and candidate of your choice. You should be aware, however, that if your position is one which is funded by federal monies, any political activities you pursue may be subject to the provisions of the Federal Hatch Act.
Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee
The State University of New York at Potsdam has established an Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) to oversee the responsible use of animals in university research and instructional activities. The IACUC reviews protocols, reviews the animal care and use program, and monitors University animal facilities to ensure compliance with standards and regulatory requirements.
SUNY Potsdam Announces Historic $5.25M Gift for Applied Learning
The State University of New York at Potsdam has received the largest gift commitment in the College’s 201-year history. Donald (Hon. ’54) and Kathryn Kofoed Lougheed ’54 have pledged $5.25 million to support applied learning initiatives at SUNY Potsdam. With a combination of deferred and outright gifts, the new commitment represents the largest donation the College has ever received.
