Some Basics Every country has its own distinct culture and customs, and the US is no different. Despite being a very open and tolerant country, supportive of many different cultures, there are still many things that are distinctly "American" ? and which may take some getting used to!
Adaptation: Staying Fit During the Pandemic
Some are college athletes trying to keep their edge. Others are personal fitness hounds pounding the snow on solo cross-country runs—or finding objects in their garage that can work as improvised dumbbells while they dream about gymnasium doors swinging fully open. All would like to survive the fog of Covid-19 with some measure of their pre-pandemic fitness intact.

There are some situations that require us to refer students to off-campus providers. These include situations that require more than bi-weekly solution-focused treatment, substance abuse issues and other situations that require a specialist.

But unlike most of his SUNY Potsdam classmates, Winters’ campus is located entirely behind prison walls, as he completes his degree and his sentence at Riverview Correctional Facility in Ogdensburg, N.Y.

The Path of Persistence
Sometimes, Angella St. Denis ’21 dreams of all the sleep she will catch up on—hours and hours of uninterrupted slumber awaiting her someday in the not-so-distant future—once she finally graduates, once she finally lands that career helping young people, once she finally finds a bit of inner peace after years of seeking justice. But for now, she continues to toil night and day, in pursuit of her degree and of her dreams.
