January 14, 2021 Offices across campus have understandably received a number of questions over the past week regarding the rollout of COVID-19 vaccination programs in New York State and here in the North Country. We appreciate that this is a critical public health issue and that many of you are anxious to know more about eligibility details and how to receive your immunization once you qualify. SUNY Potsdam Announces New Degree in Applied Sociology
SUNY Potsdam is proud to introduce its newest baccalaureate offering—a Bachelor of Arts degree program in applied sociology. The program, the first of its kind within the State University of New York system, emphasizes career development and real-world skills, preparing graduates to stand out in an increasingly competitive job market.
SUNY Potsdam Welcomes BridgmanPacker Dance for Upcoming Performance
SUNY Potsdam’s Department of Theatre and Dance will welcome the New York City-based BridgmanPacker Dance in concert for one evening only during an upcoming visit. BridgmanPacker Dance will perform in the Proscenium Theater, located in SUNY Potsdam Performing Art Center, on Wednesday, Feb. 6, at 7:30 p.m. This concert is free, and the public is welcome to attend. BridgmanPacker will present “Voyeur,” their highly acclaimed work that received a 2017 New York Dance and Performance Award (The Bessies). In “Voyeur,” dance meets film meets virtual reality.

SUNY Potsdam Now Accepting Applications for Walker Fellowship
The Office of the Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs at SUNY Potsdam is pleased to announce the continuation of the T. Urling and Mabel Walker Research Fellowship Program for 2023. The purpose of this program is to encourage faculty from the region’s 11 institutions of higher education to undertake research on critical issues confronting North Country communities, and to make recommendations for possible solutions.
