Email Spoofing
CTS often has users contacting us that they receive email, apparently from them, but contains spam. This is a common spammer tactic called "e-mail spoofing" and is an attempt to use a legitimate e-mail address to fool anti-spam measures.
CTS will provision Google Accounts for select students who need access to Google Classroom for field experience.
Backup Your Data
CTS reminds you to keep at least one copy of your data in a place other than your computer.
Sophos Install
CTS Staff typically configure/preconfigure this software on College owned computers. We are using the enterprise version of the Sophos Console which requires no end user intervention for installation or settings.
Printing Services
CTS supports all user device printing on campus utilizing SUNY’s system-wide Managed Print Initiative, which commenced in 2022. This project is aimed at improving efficiency, reducing our carbon footprint, and achieving significant cost savings.
