SUNY Potsdam Esports Club Raises Funds for Children’s Miracle Network
In a year where so much has changed, the students on SUNY Potsdam’s Esports Club have been able to keep competing and supporting each other through it all—and now they have added supporting a great cause to that list of achievements. The group recently held an Extra Life fundraiser to benefit local Children’s Miracle Network hospitals, with four players streaming for 12 hours total, as they chatted and took part in games of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and online chess.

Frederick W. Crumb Memorial Library Dr. Frederick W. Crumb was the eighth, and longest-serving, president of the institution known today as The State University of New York at Potsdam. He joined Potsdam State Teachers College in 1946, which became part of the new SUNY System upon its founding two years later, and Dr. Crumb oversaw the construction of the new campus on Pierrepont Avenue.

SUNY Potsdam’s West African Drum and Dance Ensemble Takes the Stage at Snell Theater on Saturday, Nov. 23
SUNY Potsdam is proud to present music performed by The Crane School of Music’s West African Drum and Dance Ensemble on Saturday, Nov. 23 at 7:30 p.m. in the Sara M. Snell Music Theater. The concert will include traditional musical works from the Ewe, Ga, and Akan peoples who reside in West Africa. The performance includes music from four genres of West African music.
