Ways of Thinking

Literacies in the Arts, Humanities, Social Sciences & Natural Sciences Potsdam graduates will demonstrate a familiarity with the methods, concepts, processes, and creative and cultural expressions of the liberal arts and sciences adequate to make relevant and informed decisions. Ways of Thinking There are 6 courses (19 credits) required for Ways of Thinking. Information for each course, including Students Learning Outcomes, are detailed below. Note: There are two courses detailed in the Thinking Scientifically section.

Fine Arts

Our graduates have gone on to careers in fine arts, arts management, art therapy, digital design, K-12 and university teaching, illustration, museum curation, audiovisual production, publishing, gallery ownership, interior design, architecture, commercial printing, pattern making, photojournalism and studio ceramics. M.S.Ed., Educational Technology Specialist

The Loading... is a fully online 30 credit-hour program that prepares students to be leaders in K-12 schools. Throughout the course of their studies students will hone their interpersonal and technology skills and work collaboratively with K-12 faculty and staff to create and manage highly engaging learning environments.

B.A. in Music

The Loading... is a liberal arts degree, and like all liberal arts degrees, is designed to ensure students have a broad-base of knowledge to complement the deeper mastery in the major area (music in this case). The liberal arts foster the flexibility needed to adapt to our rapidly changing society by developing skills in observation, analysis, communication, research, and judgment that are applicable in any situation.
